The Trout and Tipple is a quiet pub with a keen following for its real ale, real food and real welcome. It has 4 ales always available, Jail Ale permanently and a farmhouse cider plus two Beer Festivals a year – February & October. No wonder then it is CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed, an Associate member of SIBA and Cask Marque accredited.

It is a family friendly pub and children are welcome, as are dogs. With a games room, patio area, non-smoking dinning room and large car park there is room enough for everyone. All of this is just a mile out of Tavistock on the A386.

Trout features on the menu in several options being sourced from the Tavistock Trout Fishery, complementing the otherwise traditional pub fare. Sunday's Roast is a two-course affair, with a roast (normally beef) and a traditional sweet.
