Buckingham Carnival Winners

 

For the third time a special trophy in the form of a cup (named the Premier Trophy” was awarded to the “best of the best” float. The Town’s Rotary club with their magnificent Peter Pan float the Ship “Jolly Roger” took the prize together with a very large rosette and cheque for £60.00.

 

The four judges this year were Guy Scott (former Art Director of Stowe School); Lionel Weston (Director of Sports Activities at Stowe School); Patrick Fealey (Senior Administrator at the Buckingham School) and the Mayor of Buckingham Cllr Howard Mordue together with Buckingham’s Member of Parliament John Bercow.

 

The Parade was led by the Town Cryer and The Milton Keynes Pipe Band followed by the Mayor and Mayoress with MP John Bercow. Civic Dignitaries followed behind leading the first float – Aris Way Kids.
