Sarah Pike

Sarah Pike’s interest in art and textiles started many years ago with embroidery. After studying City and Guilds courses with distinctions she went on to become a tutor and an examiner. She has subsequently been awarded Licentiateship of the City & Guilds Institute.

As a member of the 488 Group, the Textile Workshop and the Embroiderers’ Guild Pike has exhibited and sold her work in a variety of galleries across southern England.

She continues to be fascinated with the quality and variety of older traditional work but is always keen to experiment with new techniques and materials to keep her work fresh and original. She is also starting to develop ways of including ceramics in her work.
