Rosalind Rosenblatt Often utilising the same primary pot shape repeatedly, Rosalind Rosenblatt creates unique ceramics through the subtle yet endless variations achieved through glazing and firing. Barium-based glazes are applied to the biscuit base of earthstone clay and fired at 1050 Celsius. Repeated firings intensify the colours. The resulting works have the luminous, solid centres of the planets, surrounded by their gaseous, ephemeral rings of colour. Rosenblatt was trained at Liverpool University.
