Katty McMurray McMurray works from her studio in Brighton and enjoys regular solo exhibitions in London and the South of England. She graduated from Chelsea School of Art in 1991 and travels often, filling her sketchbooks with records of shapes, lines and colours to turn into her characteristic paintings and prints. Originally striking out with bold colours and a palette knife for her oils, McMurray has recently begun to temper her work with a softer brush stroke and more muted shades. Printmaking, particularly screenprinting, has become a recent interest that lends itself well to McMurray's well developed feeling for the line in her work. Her website is www.kattymcmurray.com. |
