Jean Rowe

Jean Rowe Jean Rowe combines techniques of papermaking, printmaking and textile arts to create her works. Her inspiration comes from diaries, journeys and interaction with other people, places and events. Rowe's work at first gives an impression of a period of an individual's history being exhibited from an archive. Closer inspection of the delicate work reveals further levels of detail, of both the private life made public and the intricate creation of the piece. The artist studied Fine Art and Printmaking at Winchester School of Art. She regularly exhibits along with fellow members of the Four/88 Group, six artists who work within a range of textile arts.
